I have experienced what I call "vision shifts". But it's not quiet like what you describe. I notice it mostly at work, where the world kinds "shifts" like bumbum, and I get a little dizzy and my eyes take a minute to focus. I don't hear a voice or anything, but sometimes I forget where I was just then, it probably all only happens in about 10 seconds. It's usually when I'm hungry or extremely tired. It's very wierd. Almost like I'm suddenly going to pass out but then am suddenly ok. Don't know if it's much like what you're experiencing though.
