There's no timeline for healing; it's different for everyone, it really is. I can say that it's not unusual for it to take a while to get going. I spent six months before I could talk about the trauma, and then another year doing nothing BUT talk about the trauma! What matters is finding a process and a sequence that helps you reach your goals.
I recommend Jon G. Allen's book "Coping with Trauma", Judith Herman's "Trauma and Recovery," and also "The PTSD Workbook."
