It was The Nightmare Before Christmas and we had a Pioneer DVD player at the time. The only special features I remember are the deleted scenes and maybe a commentary. I love the soup scene when Sally was making it, adding frog's breath and stuff. I was in elementary school and I learned the word "scrumptious" from her. I'd definitely watch it again with my nephew.
