Sometimes people are rude because they are jealous of you and instead of bettering their own situation such as removing themselves from that platform for awhile, or just being the same or more successful then you are, they get jealous of you and start becoming assholes.

Also some people are just thin skinned babies who can’t handle it when people are rude. They just stop responding instead of saying stuff back. It may not even have anything to do with you but be between two completely different people and they just take sides and ignore you.
