I'm genuinely sorry for you. This anti-benzo crusade...they can kiss my azz.
As for flying, I have no experience with using a benzo for it. I've flown a lot, but I'm not a nervous flyer. Perhaps ask your GP for only 4 pills? That seems quite harmless. I hope she will prescribe them for you; it would be cruel of her not to.
