I don't pay attention to if something is a "humblebrag" or not. Or maybe I've just never really noticed people on social media doing it. Maybe it's an age or generational thing? Like the younger ppl in their teens and 20s do it?
Bragging about IQ, even as a "humblebrag" is socially ridiculous, lol, and I say this with a little bit of humor: its no wonder they feel disconnected from others making comments like that!
My thoughts of your other example is that it didn't seem to me to be like a "humblebrag." Maybe they just wanted to know what color to paint their window and have a nice looking house. Are they not supposed to post just because their house is nice?
