Well it rolls on here, Delta is the dominant strain now - Alpha (old UK variant) now usurped. It happened so quickly. Delta is certainly more transmissible but whether it's more dangerous is not yet clear. End result is cases up but mostly unvaccinated (20-29) group. Good news is they're less likely to get very sick bad news is they can still get long covid plus the longer this virus thrives the more chance it has to mutate again.

I don't think they'll lock us down again but June 21st 'all restrictions gone' looks increasingly unlikely/foolish. Of course some businesses waiting for the restriction on large scale indoor events (nightclubs/entertainments) aren't happy and some are looking to take legal action against the government. I can't see that holding up in court myself though.

Personally I think we should be doing everything we can to avoid another punitive full lockdown.
