Hi Lizzie. Welcome to MSF. I am searching now for the link. You can get email notification when you get a private message here https://mysupportforums.org/profile.php?do=editoptions

Scroll down to "Receive Email" and check all that you want to be notified of. Then scroll down to bottom and click on Save Changes to save your choices.

Right below the Email Notification selection is

To the right is a drop down menu where you select if you want instant notification or the other options.

Again scroll down after making your selection and click on Save Changes
