I suffer from PTSD. I’ve had chronic nightmares since I was about six years old. They used to be water dreams where the water would rise to the point where I couldn’t get out of wherever I was at. I would drowned. I still have those dreams sometimes, but now the water most of the time recedes and I can get out of the situation. Now these dreams have changed over the last several weeks to where I am stuck in a house with the floor caving in and people surround me. I’m not able to get out and it’s very scary. Sometimes they try to cause me harm sometimes they try to cause other people around me harm but it’s getting to the point where I don’t even want to sleep anymore. I realize the pattern that for at least the last 10 years during this time of year I have more and more of these nightmares and more and more insomnia and it’s really difficult to work through. What helps you with your insomnia? What helps you battle reoccurring dreams?

Thank you for your feedback…Wish I didn’t dream.
