rechu, sounds like the govt. is lifting lockdowns in places where cases continue to run high because no one is following the restrictions anymore and they don't want to be embarrassed. I am pretty sure that happened here last year. Cases started to go up but they didn't tighten up the lockdowns because so many people were resistant. People can only follow these strict rules for so long.
I got through last night, hopefully Covid free. The worker shortage in my area also has me on edge when it comes to dining out. People who are stressed out and short handed are more likely to take safety shortcuts imo.
I used to volunteer fairly frequently at trade shows, festivals, fairs, etc. I'm getting calls now to go back to that but find myself reluctant, especially with these new variants. A lot of it was food related and it just doesn't seem worth the risk.
