I have been putting the steps in front of the front windows (which before he could never see out of) and for that, I have been able to get him to go up them, but unless I am standing right there guarding him, he always wants to just jump off. He doesn't want his food that way. He always tries to just push the dish off.

On the eye issue it has been 4 days his last dose of the arthritis medication and his eyes have gotten so much better. I also picked up an eye ointment for his eyes from the vet (in case it is an infection) and I am shocked that he let me put it in his eye.

I am hopeful.
