I also think that a person with avpd would think that they don't want to go to the party because people would not like them. The last party I went to, one woman was mean. I am not certain that she was talking about me though. I think avpd is not necessarily delusional but I guess it would be so if ''severe''. Some people are just mean. Some people do seem to ''enjoy'' judging others, especially someone who seems anxious (who is then judged as ''weak'' etc). I also think anxiety can make others feel uncomfortable, so creating a negative feedback loop. avpd is like severe social anxiety and is harder to treat. It has a number of negative core beliefs about self, often due to neglect and/or abuse in childhood.
