Those are great ideas Sky ... and I would also suggest calling your local hometown newspaper....very often they will run a human interest story like this and many folks who believe education is important are happy to help.

Another suggestion....if you have any neighborhood grocery or convenient stores, you can always ask them if you can put a canister at their register with a note saying why you are looking for donations...very often people will plop their coin change in and money can add up quickly.
