Yeah, this is true for me too. My "new normal" looks exactly the same as the old one did. The only real difference is that, previously, my pdoc appointments were via Zoom. And, starting in September, I'll be going into his office once again. (I'm a bit uncomfortable with that... sitting in the waiting room with a bunch of other patients who may or may not have been vaccinated... even though I've had my vaccinations. But I don't have a choice.) Otherwise everything's the same.
One thing that galled me was that, for a while, my health insurer waived co-payments for mental health patients who sought services due to Covid-19. (I don't know if this is still in effect or not.) But if your mental-health-related issues were not deemed related to Covid-19, you still had to pay.
