Update: my dad now lives in a senior complex just across the road about a quarter mile or so away.
I have not been to see him. I am so stuck! Everytime I try, I get too anxious and I chicken out. It's strictly a PTSD response, I know, called avoidance, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier to try to dislodge it from my brain.
