Please Do not give up! i agree with you that contacting them on facebook may be a bad idea. i am not sure if there's much else you can do other than to completely ignore this person as harsh as it sounds. Block her, at least temporarely, from your social media so that you don't have to see her feed and ask mutual friends or people you know to simply not bring it up if is possible.
