I ask this because I'm trying to understand what a friend is going through.

Isn't it true that (statistically) the age gaps in lesbian couples is greater than for heterosexuals? That being the case, is it inevitable that a lesbian will one day reach an age where she ceases to be attracted to older women and becomes interested in younger ones? Is this a known phenomenon? What is it called?
