I think the point that most people are making, Guy, is that you came here to this mental health self-help forum and introduced your appearance as your main problem. Most people tend to think: "problem... solution". If you don't want to talk about it, then you didn't even need to mention it when you introduced yourself. You could have just said "hi, I'm Gary. I just want to see what's going on around here". By bringing it up and then refusing to consider other perspectives, it just looks like complaining or like you enjoy arguing. I don't think that's the case with you, but please try to understand how it can be perceived that way.
