Well, unlike most of my other crazy dream threads, this post isn't about a specific dream that I've had, but rather, my dreaming trends. I like to think of dreams as your unconious self trying to speak to you, through images and not by well, speaking. By being able to understand my dreams I can I identify the cause.
here are my recent treands, out of dreams I can remember:
Dreams of s. abuse: 2
dreams of rejection of any kind: 1
Dreams of serial killers: AT LEAST 3 recently, but these kind of date back for awhile, and if you count non-recent ones the count is up to about 5.
Now, the serial killing thing is a really recent happening in the fact that it now seems to dominate my dreams. Alot of my previous other dreams had the major theme of some kind of adventure, as well as some kind of sacrifice to go with it.
Now, I've TRIED looking around online, but well, nothing that makes sense comes up for the interpretation for my killer dreams. They can't express any sort of deep hatred towards anybody specific because ALL of the victims in my dream I don't know in real life. Seriously, I made all of the victims up in my head.
Another interpretation that I got from an online dream dictionary...thing, is that it represents trying to kill a certain aspect of your personality. The only problem that I have with this is that everybody being killed represented a virtue of some sorts, innocence, friendship, wisdom, and courage, now why exactly would I want to destroy THAT (especialy in favor of the kilers, who are pretty much all depicted as being negative, like, being, sadistic, psycopathic, or killing out of revenge or truama)?
I don't think I can pass it off as random braincells firing if only because the theme reoccurs all the time in between the static-y dreams that I can't remember other then they were really boring and weird.
