As a bp2, I take wellbutrin with a stabilizer, adjusting the dosage as needed. I cant take antipsychotics.
I would rather be a little hypomanic rather than a little down and that seems to be what it comes down to for me. Trying to hit the exact center of the spectrum on a regular basis has proven to be too difficult. Add stress to the equation and phew, it's complicated. Doing self care like aerobic exercise, avoiding toxic patterns and situations, etc are hugely important for me.

I agree - it's healthier to be a little bit hypomanic than to be depressed and anxious. It seems to me that the world of pdocs doesn't agree. I wonder how they'd feel in our shoes?
