Usually it is customary for the doctor who is stopping care to refer his patient on to the next doctor so as not to leave them hanging and with no continuity of care. Have you asked the doctor? Did he say no he would not give a referral? Anyway, I am just curious. Sounds like you have faith in the GP to find some help for your son. It's really good you are thinking about this in advance before your son is without care.
