Met for a few weeks in person, both fully vaccinated (he required any in-person clients to be), signed a waiver form. Then delta showed up, and he switched to virtual. But during the brief in-person time, the signed agreement stated that clients were supposed to check their temps before session (I mostly forgot to do this), would wear a mask until seated in his office, and use hand sanitizer or wash hands (not sure how that would happen!) once arriving in his office (I generally sanitized in the waiting room, and he trusted me when I said that). There was also a clause saying that if a client appeared sick, he could require them to leave immediately and either switch to virtual or cancel/reschedule the session.

He ended up switching back to virtual before this. But I was going to the beach for a week in late August and said I'd be willing to do virtual for 10-14 days after I returned to be safe (rates were much higher at the beach than in the county where I live and Dr. T lives/practices). He said he appreciated that. I also had intended that if my D was potentially exposed at school, I'd have done virtual until it was confirmed she hadn't caught it.

I didn't say this at the time, but Dr. T also traveled in late August/early September. If we'd still been meeting in person at the time, I might have opted to do virtual for, say, the 10-day period after, just in case he caught something. Much like NP's T, he had some symptoms upon his return and got tested, but was negative.

ETA from reading another post: He was originally considering resuming in-person sooner than he did, but his wife wanted to be fully vaccinated first (he was able to get vaccinated much earlier as a healthcare provider). Then, he was waiting for guidance from the APA or our state's psychological association to say it was OK to meet in person without masks (which was frustrating), then his family was taking a vacation with another family, and they'd agreed to be really careful, so he didn't want to meet with clients in person the 2 weeks before that. Also in there, his middle-school-aged son was able to get fully vaccinated.
