I can't speak to what you experienced, being surreal and all. But, I can speak to the fact that we're all different. My experiences are going to be different from anyone else's (even if they are similar :-). I would really encourage you to go back and tell your counself that you were hoping for more interest regarding what you told her. Even though I have not been through what you posted, I can really relate.
