Re Insecurity: let it pass. Likely a sign your writing is getting better.
Went through a round of insecurity about playing competitive bridge which I don't like as much as social bridge. I need something in-between. The problem with social bridge is most players are just passing time.
The problem with competitive bridge is most players are too serious and there's a barrage of new tips or conventions any new partner toss my way and expects me to learn and remember immediately.
So, dang it, I told myself I'd go compete tonight only forgetting that my closest game has moved to temporary digs pending their usual space re-opening more.
Error accepted. Moving on.
Now, where was I in this book?
