Even in the hypermarkets the choices are often few. For a while we were going to the next town over and buying them from a farm stand. There they had wonderful choices, but then again they were in season at the time. There tends to be a lot of native fruit where I am. One could literally just go for a walk in the countryside and find all the plums, as an example, that one would want. Apples, too. That could change soon, though. I also notice more exotic fruit sometimes being available, and yet bananas, of all things, are sometimes sold out at our online grocer. Yet they have other exotic fruit (such as dragon fruit) always available. CZ has a large Vietnamese population, so they stock that stuff here.

I hope this doesn't last long, Chicken is a huge part of my meals.
Ooooo Fruit ! That is really lacking in my area. What i can find is usually just so expensive I actually get mad over it ! Sunday I bought 3 pears, 4 plums and a bag of tangerines and it was almost 13 bucks ! Crazy ! I'm grateful it is all very tasty but wow the prices.
The only thing around her is Blackberries and for that I am super grateful ! But every years we have to get out and pick quickly has the Deer and stuff will strip bushes in a night. We usually get 5 or so gallons a year. I only have a few Quart freezer bags left.
Im glad you have a variety in stores and on a hike you can get. Bananas? That is nuts !!!
