It has just occurred to me that I don't even know how to use this forum. I've posted some here, but when I look at what I've written, I see combat stories rather than notes or questions about my ptsd.

Maybe we need a place to tell the stories, as we tell the stories of abuse and so on. Or maybe I should try to focus on the symptoms and results of ptsd. But I'm still learning about the symptoms and realizing their cause.

Maybe this is a place for open expression of whatever comes across our minds with regard to the combat experience (before, during, and after). I know that I sometimes don't even know what is going to come out of my finger tips as I key in the words. Sometimes I'm discovering the memory as I key in the text.

Thanks to those posting info about ptsd. I've learned a lot.
