Hello and WELCOME. My experience with ritalin is that when you first 'crash' after it has worn off, you will feel depressed, but then you will return to normal, (whatever that is for you pre-ritalin), and I had no long term side effects from using it, although if it is abused, like any amphetamine, it can be addictive, and then it is dangerous.
