Agree with that. I also personally found my Ph.D. therapist more well-versed in dealing with more complex issues than my other therapists who were not Ph.D. I don't know if that was from his particular training or his particular past work experience or just his particular skill level, but I found my psychologist was the therapist I made the strongest, most lasting improvements.
