I'm not especially close to my siblings, but we all love each other. I suppose my sister and I have grown closer over the years. My brother is a good man, but we have major differences, politically, so we keep conversations light. I will say that both would help me out if I was in dire need. And vice versa.

My siblings are 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 years older than me. In our youth, that seemed a big difference, but not so much now. I live in Europe while they live in our native home state of New Jersey, in the US. In fact, they live a short walk to even where our grandparents raised our parents. And not far from where our great grandparents raised our grandparents. Two of our uncles' families also used to live within walking distance. We are deeply rooted there. Even our great great grandparents lived in New Jersey or eastern Pennsylvania and some of their ancestors, too. It's a bond that can't be totally broken.
