That is good advice.
I have to actually finish a book first. I get so discouraged a lot of times I give up.
My poetry book is currently 116 pages. I went through so much this year, I stopped working on it until recently.
I figure I might be able to put some of my artwork in the poetry book so it has some kind of purpose beyond just existing.

I recently started a new novel, I think the idea is very unique...well, as unique as you get these days. I'm planning to do the NaNoWriMo challenge to encourage myself to finish it. So it's on hold until November 1st. I'm excited about it, but then part of me that's like, "Well, no one is going to read this anyway." I enjoy being in the moment with writing, it's as magical as painting and drawing. When you are in the present and a place of mindfulness while actively creating.

It's rough feeling constantly discouraged.
