Does anyone else get depressed because a good television series has ended, or because a television series started out good but then ended badly? I've experienced both.

Since 2020, I've dealt with shows with really bad endings, or unexpected endings. It's like the anti-heroes are winning.

I was really let down with "Homeland" back in 2020 - both because the series ended and because the ending was a bad-enough ending.

Then, in 2021, I was really disheartened and let down with "Good Witch" ending their series prematurely, and because the ending had one bad part in the ending coupled with the horrible way the final season was filmed. It's like the writers changed.

And today, I finished binge-watching "Designated Survivor" on Netflix. It started out great, but it progressively got worse. It's as if the writers of this show changed, and the drama turned into makeshift comedy sections here and there. The ending, however, was super depressing and shocking. I liked the creativeness of including real footage from people lamenting about injustices, but I disliked Season 3 completely! The ending just depressed me even more today.

I suppose that I'm reacting to escapism gone wrong. I wanted to escape into a safer reality, or a reality that keeps me pseudo flourishing - with hopeful wins with justice being done. Well, lately, I've been watching nothing but losses in the end. It's horrible! This isn't what I wanted to escape to. I'm really upset - over television shows. I know it sounds silly, but I really am.
