Has anyone managed successfully to apply for disability while still working? I'm told it can be done, but I'm not sure I believe it.

I bring this up because my review is tomorrow, and based on the sort-of informal one I got when applying for another position internally awhile back, I am pretty sure I'm going to get flattened and destroyed. I also can guarantee that the amount of time I have to take off to tend to my physical and mental illnesses is going to come up.

My job requires me to produce, whether I like it or not, whether I feel like it or not. But if you've ever been manicky and can't sit still, or depressed and incapable of doing anything more than staring at the wall, or were violently sick to your stomach all night but knew nobody would stand for another sick day, you understand that many days I show up here entirely to warm the chair. They seem to be prefer that I be here than not, but if I can't function while I'm here, I'm not sure what the point is.

Anyway, just wondering if I have a chance.
