That;s awesome!
My step dad is a professional drummer in two more local bands (but they also play in Vermont) living in a house that's often times filled with alot of music and stuff really is quite the expirience.

We also have a band at our school called Brother aside:

I have one of their CD's because they had a concert at school as a fundraiser (oh, and they are going to have another concert at school in June, I'm so excited!!)

I used to be sorta-friends with Scotty because we were both on the quizbowl team...but he's getting increasingly um...arrogant? Yeah, I think that's the word. An example is from his description on Myspace:

Well, How can I start this....oh yeah! I'm Scott Lee Phillips Jr. If you don't know me you are the one missing out. It's either you love me or you like me a bit but you think I'm a bit over the top and full of myself....not to mention I am one of the most HONEST people you will ever meet, and I'm not saying that is always a good thing, but it's the way I am and I hope you all love and accept me for that

I also know Doug 'cause he's in my grade.

My definate favorite of all of their original songs is "The Chosen One" in my opinion it's their best song, because their other songs have ALOT of energy, but "The Chosen One" definately has the most soul in it. Apparently one of the band members (the one who sings with Scotty in this song) wrote it after one of his realatives (I think it was one of his cousins...not sure) had died
