Good for you, Deilla! It's bad enough that discouraging people make us want to avoid them. Don't let that discouragement demoralize you to where you neglect what you want to do for you.
I went Thurs for a medical appointment that I really felt like canceling. I had already rescheduled it once. I told myself to just put one foot in front of the other and to not cancel until the last possible moment. I gave myself permission to bow out, if I felt I needed to at the last minute. I ended up going. Now I'm so glad I got that accomplished.
Refusing to give up on things can get to be a good habit. You build up those internal muscles that make us strong in the face of what life throws at us.
