Today has been a busy but dull. I went to do the laundry this morning at 6:30 and all of the washers were already taken. It's the first time that's happened since I retired in early June. When I was working, I did the laundry every Saturday morning and half the time the machines would be taken. But on weekdays, not as much, which is nice. Last night I predicted that would happen because today is Veteran's Day and I figured that those who work on the weekdays would take advantage of doing it today rather than Saturday. I was right!

My sister called this morning and we had a pretty good talk. I have not heard from her in quite a while.

At the area where I live we're having a heat wave. It's going to last from today until next Tuesday. I hate hot days, especially at this time of year when we had some nice cooler days. It's weird that it feels like summer and looks like winter.
