Fairly busy today but nothing much to report about. I went grocery shopping just as it opened at 9 AM and it was crowded for the second time in a row. The parking lot was almost full. What's going on? Since I've retired last June, I've been picking the time to go shopping at 9 AM on Fridays and it had always been easy. Now it's different. At the store I over bought and forgot a couple of items. So in the early afternoon I returned the items not needed and picked up what I forgot. They were very nice to me about it.

I'm still not feeling great emotionally. I recently let go of my only friend that I had. I got a message from my old college friend and he mentioned that he's going to his sister's place for Thanksgiving. It seems like everyone I know are going to be with others, except for me. It doesn't make me feel good about this.

One nice thing about not working now is that I don't have to field questions about what I'm going to do on the holidays.
