I am not a big believer in the scale. Your weight fluctuates over the course of the day depending on what you ate, drank, wore, hormones. eliminating your bowels.... I learned to incorporate some of my healthier habits (aside from succesful gastric bypass) to drop the same 10 bs over and over. If I need to really monitor my weight I will weigh myself once a week at the same time (morning) after I have used the toilet and naked. If I really needed to check the numbers I wait a week. Generally though IMO a better guideline is how your clothes fit. If they get to a point where they are falling down and weigh in could enlighten you. Personally I do not think its healthy to weigh yourself everyday. For me that easily turned obsessive and I would use the number to either be proud of myself or turn on the self hatred. I do not like the fact that the doctors we see weigh you every time you go into the office.
