So in my care team there is my Peer Support Worker, CPN (Community Psychiatric Nurse) and Psychiatrist. I have had a CPN for 10 years. I'm on CPN number 2. She has informed me that she is retiring in April and she thinks I don't need a another CPN.... but I'm scared and worried I do need one. I'm still grieving for my Mum who I lost in July and my Uncle in September.

I've found out through another patient at the centre that her CPN too is having to give up her patients and discharge her. This CPN says there is a waiting list of over 80 people dating back to 2019 who are waiting to see a CPN.

My CPN informed me I would still have access to the Duty Worker (who is an on-call CPN), my Peer Support Worker and Psychiatrist too. Just not her.

My Therapist who I pay for says I have the right to share my thoughts with my team eg that I feel I still need a CPN.

I guess, I'm just frustrated at the whole situation. I can't be mad at her for retiring. She has worked in the mental health service for over 30 years. So she has definitely earnt this retirement. I just wish I could see what the professionals think. I can't see I'm better if you like
