Then when midnight strikes my Dad will go outside just as midnight comes and on the strike of 12am he knocks on the door bringing a lump of coal into the house a Scottish tradition. He also brings alcohol, biscuits and a calendar.
After this... I will visit family and friends bring food, drink and calanders to them. This will go on through-out January.
I use to do a thing called The New Year Dook (swimming in the local river at -5 degrees or less depending on the temperature on Jan 1st morning or afternoon) but it's been off for a few years due to covid. I use to do it in aid of charity raised thousands of pounds. Some people do it in fancy dress costumes too.
Question: Any New Year's Resolutions?

For something different to happen in 2022. I'm hoping my husband and I will be closer to figuring out where we'll live long-term. In doing so, I will need to finally start rapidly improving language skills, accordingly.
What is something good that happened to you in 2021?
