Welcome to PsychCentral. Boy do I understand about the chaos if some things are brought up. When T and I try to delve into things sometimes, T says there is an injunction that prevents things to come out and afterward the body often pays.
I've been noticing that as I realize that T is safe and she gives me a safe place to talk (or write or draw, etc), more stuff is coming out and there is a little less injunction. It's a slow process and we have to balance between going enough to not be stuck but not so fast that it throws me over the boat. Perhaps as you feel more comfortable and safe, that part of you will be able to give the information needed for healing.
After your sessions, perhaps you can take the time right after to do something just for you such as coloring, drawing, reading, listen to music, go for a walk, etc. For me, it really depends on what is going on inside my head as to which works better. And sometimes I just go to bed and watch a movie with a soft blanket and a stuffed animal.
