What are your numbers like? In my town it’s now almost 2,500 per 100,000 which is super high. Every day I’m hearing of someone new testing positive even 3x vaccinated.

I have no idea if herd immunity is even a possibility any more however. I’d like to think so but I’m not convinced.
Actually it makes sense because the app works through bluetooth. It only measures distance and time in close proximation, it can't pinpoint an exact location or if there's any obstacles in between. I guess that's one of the reasons why they can't require quarantine if you get a warning message, they can only recommend. I know for a fact I haven't been in contact with anyone on that day so I'm just ignoring it now. It's only to help with contact tracing, not replace it. You could just switch off bluetooth as soon as you're home, but I use bt headphones so mine is usually on

Our local incidence is 511 per 100.000 so not quite as bad as the UK yet. But it's going up quickly. I wonder if maybe with omnikron, there will be no avoiding it anymore unless you live like a hermit. In South Africa the omnicron wave is apparently over already and I heard the UK has probably reached its peak as well. Maybe it's not so bad to get this wave over with quickly, especially if it's not as deadly as previous variants.
