So we aren’t drs here and can’t diagnose but I would go with extreme stress rather than psychosis at this point. Psychosis implies losing touch with reality according to my doc. It’s not just hallucinations. You have to also lose the ability to realize they aren’t real.....this is more common off meds. So rather than just hearing a song you might think you were an amazing composer of that song or that you were telepathically listening to a concert. Something weird usually involving the self at the center. A lot of people still refer to it as psychosis when it’s just hallucinations but there are medical conditions that can cause hallucinations independently from psychosis and also once you take meds like antipsychotics you can often discern reality again although you can still have hallucinations from time to time.
Still extreme stress and psychosis can be linked due to cortisol release. Do what you can to relax. Cbt therapy can help....challenging thought spirals can help and so can self care.
