I gained a total of 10 lbs during 2021 which is definitely not bad considering the constant medication changes and medical treatments I received during 2021.

* I struggle with sweet cravings. I’m in a diabetes prevention program. We’re setting goals. Goals with an action plan. I’m looking for ways to help with sweet cravings.

* I listed to a Thyroid podcast episode and learned that a lot of people with thyroid disease struggle with sweet cravings.

* I found an article “19 Foods That Can Fight Sugar Cravings.” I like many of the suggestions.

* Fruits- I just purchased apples and bananas.

* Berries- On my shopping list.

* Snack Bars- On my shopping list. My fav snack bars are Tanka Bars.

* Legumes- I’m work on increasing in my regular diet.

* Sweet potatoes- A big fav in my household.

* Yogurt- I’m working on getting used to plain yogurt.

* Dates and trail mix- I’ve purchased dates and dry fruits for on the go.

* Smoothies- My teenager makes smoothies and it does help.

* Poultry and Fish- I like salmon and tilapia.

* Fermented Foods- I’ll be working towards increasing fermented foods in my regular lifelong diet.

* Whole Grains- I have a few vitamin deficiencies. I take B vitamins, magnesium, manganese and selenium. I’ll definitely be working on increasing whole grains in my regular diet.

* Vegetables- I like a lot of vegetables. I’m not too picky.
