I didn't know that.
My psychiatrist has never tested me for anything dissociative disorder related. Even though I've complained to him about my symptoms.
I even got medical tests done to rule anything out that could cause symptoms. MRI and seizure tests and saw a neurologist. There was nothing medically wrong with my brain. So I got that checked out.
Since I already have a psychiatrist. Would I just ask him to give me an assessment for Dissociative Disorders?
I've always had to go to psychologists to get tested for mental illness.
