Fuzzybear, Sky, Gimmeice, Roz G, Griffe, Nightbird, Lonely tears and Balishbun: can i be absolutely honest? Speak my truth with sensitivity and dignity? I like silence for the following reasons:
1): Because I'm physically so isolated in my home I love my silence, as i can get into my inner soul and make positive vibes for myself;
2): Because I'm psychologically so isolated, I'm able to write. My writing isn't so good, but it's wonderful therapy for me.;
3): And yet, my dear friend Fuzzy bear has a significant and vital point: silence CAN hurt, oh yes! Most certainly. But I've trained myself to deep concentration, perhaps too much, that any other noise (T.V. radio, etc) can and does distract me;
4): FuzzyBear, my dear friend,

if you are referring to that awful silence when one is with another and a yawning gap in conversation occours, then you're spot-on: it can, and is, hell.
5): Yes, I love my silence, I have a tape on which is the noise of a river, a waterfall, and I sit in my garden and put on my mini-waterfall and the silence broken by the water is blissful.
6): Most of you here do have conversations with other people I assume) but i dont: I'm scared to go out, following my sexual assault, so there are very few examples in my life as far as silences in converstaion, are concerned.
Sorry for such a long-winded answer, Fuzzy bear, but that is my humble contribution to your point ... love you all.
