My psychiatrist doubled my pregabalin (Lyrica) yesterday. He was also pleased that my husband joined me and even asked that he come again next time. I told him that the small dose of pregabalin helped initially with my mood issues, but then leaked through again. Hopefully the higher dose makes a difference. Plus, being home again. I also raved how it's relieved my foot pain and that at the small dose I have zero side effects. Some write about weight gain, but oddly I've had decreased appetite. I'll need to weigh myself to confirm. Hopefully that will continue. When I went to the pharmacy below my pdoc's office, she said I got the last box, that pdoc has been prescribing it a lot. I suspect it may be working better than gabapentin (Neurotin) for many people as both an adjunct moodstabilizer and anxiety reliever. Perhaps in the US it will be prescribed more in the future for these purposes. I have known a number of people with bipolar disorder that also have fibromyalgia. I don't have the latter, but perhaps pregabalin would be a great option for them. Pregabalin indications (incl. bipolar disorder) at Pregabalin - StatPearls - NCBI Bookshelf

Yesterday I made homemade biscotti for the first time. They're great and pretty low guilt. I must have some sweet each day. Trying to lower my sugar consumption.
