@sarahsweets those memes are 100% accurate. Thank you for sharing them.

Arguing with a narcissist is like being arrested. Everything you do and say will be used against you.
This is true with my sister. When she called me, she made herself the victim. She accuses *me* of what she's actually guilty of: emotional manipulation. She's always the victim in our conversations. She never takes responsibility for her behavior towards others.

Quote:
Unpopular Fact: There is still grief involved with letting go of a toxic person.
This is also true with my sister. When I told her that one of my biggest life regrets was that she and I did not get along or have a healthy emotional bond, she didn't even agree with me. She didn't even respond yes/no. She had no response. I definitely feel grief and always will. The acrimony between us could rival the two Hollywood sisters, actresses Joan Fontaine and Olivia De Havilland b/c it's the same toxic dynamics between my sister and I. My sister goes out of her way to disparage me to anyone who will listen and it's useless for me to try to reason with my sister about her behavior, and useless to convince family members that my sister disparages me to make herself look good to them.

Quote:
Confront a manipulator about what they did wrong, and watch them make it about you.
Also true with my sister. Any conversation we have about our interpersonal dynamics is her gaslighting me, minimizing my feelings, circumventing the facts, twisting and distorting the truth to make her appear the hero and me the villain when the opposite is true. In her 49 years, my sister has never genuinely apologized. She's always fake apologized. Like recently, telling me she loves me. Um, no she doesn't love me. Someone who loves their sibling would treat them with respect, be their friend, and support their sibling and be a source of positivity. That's not my sister's role in my life. Her role is to destroy my character and my relationship with her children and any flying monkey family members, b/c she wants to appear in a more positive light to everyone else.

She's literally used all 13 of these fake apology examples with me throughout our lives. It's eerie how accurate these examples are.
