Lamotrigine is a pretty activating mood stabilizer like BeyondtheRainbow said, it sounds like she needs something that's more of an anti-manic right now. I'm not sure how it works with adolescents if you're allowed to talk to her prescriber yourself or if she is able to by herself but definitely one of you need to bring it up to her med provider so he or she can do his/her job.
