They originally wanted my high school to be the setting for Scream, but the school board decided it was too scary and distracting for students, so if you look carefully in the credits it'll say "And no thanks to the [High School] school board".

I lived/live in areas of major films. Where I live now is where the boat scene in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was filmed. and when I went to Salem I drove past the hospital used in that film.

And though I've never seen the film, American Graffiti was for the most part filmed in my hometown.
