Old people should be seen and not heard. Not if they think they need to tell you what to do. This is treating you like a child, not as an equal adult ie a person past the age of 21.

This particular aunt obviously is not a thoughtful person. Seems like she likes the sound of her own voice. You may owe her respect, but she owes you the same - neither of you should abuse the other, and she is attempting to. "Thats nice you have the church, auntie." And change the subject.
